Ingredients
16ozcream cheese, at room temperature
2tbspbutter
1cupsugar
4eggs
2tspvanilla extract
1graham cracker crust or normal pie shell
Directions
  1. Preheat oven to 325 with a ovensafe dish full of water in it.
  2. Beat cream cheese, butter and sugar until light and fluffy.Add eggs one at a time and then the vanilla. Pour into graham cracker crust or uncooked pie shell. (I don't have a springform pan, and I'm not a cheesecake purist. I just make it like a pie.)
  3. Cover with foil and cook in oven (leaving the water in there) for about an hour. It should wiggle just a tiny bit in the middle when it's done.
