Ingredients
6cupspeeled & sliced apples
2tbspflour
2tspcinnamon
cupsugar
tbspbutter
tapioca
Directions
  1. Put all ingredients except tapioca in saucepan and cook until apples are tender.
  2. Put a single layer of tapioca on bottom of pie crust before filling with apples.
  3. Cover edge of crust with foil and bake at 350F for 45-50 minutes.

  • Mom likes to freeze apple pies uncooked to save for later. To bake it from frozen, put the pie, with the outer crust covered with foil, into a 450 degree oven for 15 minutes. Then turn the heat down to 350 for another 30 minutes.
