1lbground pork
4dried Chinese mushrooms ( 1" to 1 " in diameter)
1to 1 tbsp dried shrimp
6canned water chestnuts, chopped
some chopped ginger
1egg, lightly beaten
1tbspsoy sauce
  1. Wash the mushroom and dried shrimp. Cover the mushroom with 1/2 cup of warm water for 30 mins. Discard the water. Just cover the shrimp with a very small amt of water also for 30 min. Then finely chop the mushroom and shrimp together.
  2. Combine the pork, egg, soy sauce salt and sugar in a mixing bowl. Mix the ingredients till thoroughly blended. Then add the chopped mushrooms, shrimp and water chestnuts and mix thoroughly again.
  3. Make into patties, about 2" in diameter and pan fry them with some oil till nice and brown on both sides.
