5lbsbeef short ribs
white sugar
2/3cupsoy sauce
1/3cupbrown sugar
1/3cupmirin or cooking wine
1/6cuprice vinegar
1/6cupsesame oil
10clovesgarlic, crushed
3green onions
apple pieces, julienned carrots
  1. Rub ribs generously with white sugar
  2. Combine marinade ingredients in shallow pan, add ribs & marinate overnight making sure marinade covers all ribs as much as possible
  3. Preheat BBQ to medium high heat, grill meat turning frequently to avoid burning
  • If you don't have a grill then the next best option is to broil it on high in the oven, 10 mins. each side.
