ripe plantains
oil for deep frying
Directions Peel and slice ripe plantains diagonally. Deep fry in oil for about 3 min each side, or until golden brown and soft.
  • Let the plantains ripen until they are completely black, as they will be the sweetest at that time. Just don't let them start to rot...
