Beef, Sauce/Dressing
1tbspchili powder
2clovesgarlic, crushed or minced
cupyellow onion, minced
tspcrushed red pepper flakes, optional if you like spicy
tspdried oregano
1tspground cumin
tspfresh ground black pepper
1lbground beef
  1. In a small bowl, mix together chili powder, red pepper flakes, oregano, paprika, cumin, salt and pepper.
  2. In a pan, combine 3 tbsp of the dry mix with the garlic, onions, water, and beef. Cook until the beef is brown. Drain off fat/excess liquid.

1 serving

  • I prefer fresh garlic and onions to the powder, but if you don't or if you only have the powder on hand, you can substitute 1/4 tsp garlic powder and 1/4 tsp onion powder.

You can prepare a big batch of the dry mix and store it in an airtight container so it's always ready!

If you don't like you're seasonings hot, then you might want to cut the red pepper flakes out or cut them in half. I substitute them with a heaping 1/8 tsp of cayenne pepper.
