1lbokra; cut inch lenghts
2medium onion; minced
4tbspvegetable oil
tspcumin seeds
1/3tspground red pepper
2tspground coriander
tspgraram masala
1salt; to taste
Directions Wash and cut okra. Heat 4 tablespoons oil and fry cumin seeds a second, add onions and cook for 10 minutes, until ligh brown. Add okra, turmeric, red pepper, coriander and salt. Mix. Add enough water so that it doesn't burn to the bottom. Cover and cook over medium for 10 minutes. Add garam masala and cook covered for another 10 minutes. Check occasionally to make sure you don't need any more water

4 servings

  • 4 servings as a side dish.

    Serve with Chappati roti. Tear the Chappati into pieces and use it to pick up the curry.
